This is Sam, a reporter over here at Mariblock.

I'm emailing to invite you to our Twitter Spaces happening by 6 PM tomorrow. You can set a reminder here.

But let me tell you a short story on why you should attend this Twitter Space.

Two weeks ago, I attempted to purchase a takeout at a restaurant. I tried to pay with my debit card using the restaurant's POS. After three failed trials, the attendant returned my card, and I had to leave without the food — hungry and angry. Two minutes later, I received three debit alerts in quick succession for these failed transactions!

The restaurant's cashier pointed to a bold disclaimer on the wall, absolving them of all failed POS transactions. She directed me to complain to my bank, which I have done severally since then, to no avail.

Familiar story, right — especially for Nigerians?

Many of us have experienced this several times, and we may never get those long-awaited reversals. With the economy set to go even more cashless, how do we stop being victims of this? Are we going to keep losing our money to some faceless god that lives inside bank networks and POS machines?

A company called Zone has built a blockchain product aimed at taking these exact problems away.

Our lead editor, Oluwaseun, published a story about how Zone's blockchain is facilitating millions of dollars in ATM transactions for four Nigerian banks.

We want to make that conversation open for all to contribute.

That's why the Mariblock is hosting Zone's team in a Twitter Space tomorrow, Friday, to talk about this game-changer and how you and I benefit.
